In the right place
"Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, 'Son, your sins are forgiven you.'" Mark 2.3-5
There were many paralytic people in Capernaum at the time those four men brought a paralytic one to the Lord Jesus. But, the question is: Why did only one decide to come to the place where Jesus was? Why was he the only one who got healed? If there were so many others in the same situation.
The answer for these questions is not hard to find, of course! He was the only one who did not accept to be in that situation anymore, he was fed up, tired and revolted with that kind of miserable life. He used to depend on others to do everything he wanted to do. He could not go out by himself, he could not eat, or even bathe alone. But in the day that he revolted against his suffering his life changed because he went to the place where the Lord Jesus was. He went to the ALTAR. The four men who were carrying him knew that for him to be put in the place where Jesus was, they would have to make a sacrifice, and they did, they uncovered the roof and let him down in the right place.
"'I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.' Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, 'We never saw anything like this!'" Mark 2. 11-12
Dear reader,
Maybe everything in your life seems to be paralyzed, and because of that you have to depend on others for everything. You depend on your friends, your relatives, your boss, your family and many others, but if right now you revolt against your suffering, if you revolt against your situation and come to the place where the Lord Jesus is, which is the Altar, you will be able to change your life. It will happen exactly as it happened to the paralytic man who was not paralyzed anymore.
The Lord Jesus said to him, “ARISE”, and that’s what He wants to say to you.
The Altar is the place where you will become independent.
