Everything in life has its level of importance. It is important to be financially stable, because it is important that your testimony be a reference of God’s greatness. It is important that you take good care of your health because it is impossible to do what needs to be done when you are physically debilitated.
It is important to have a structured family, since the foundation for a good relationship with others stems from your relationship with your family. For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Matthew 6.32
There are other things that are also very important in the life of a servant of God, but, unfortunately, what has happened is that the most important thing has been placed equal or below all these things.
Would you like to know when a servant of God is entering the danger zone? Would you like to know when a servant of God is not spiritually well? Would you like to know when he is far from God? When this servant is not prioritizing his Soul. When taking care of his own Soul is no longer his priority. When other things, that do not involve taking care of his Soul, occupy first place within this servant.
When you do not prioritize your Soul, automatically, you will not take care of others. You will not be concerned with winning the Souls of other people for the Kingdom of God. Let’s take a look at the verse that follows the previous verse: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6.33
Many, who were once by our side in the meetings for those who serve, are no longer among us today. Many, who went out with us to the streets and alleys, looking for the afflicted, now find themselves walking down a bitter road, waiting for someone to come and rescue them. Let’s take all this as an alert to keep our eyes on the Altar, which sanctifies everything that is placed on it. Let’s not waste time worrying about material things, which will only be blessed if they are on the Altar.
