Poor and Naked

The Lukewarm Christian
“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 'I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent." Revelation
 3:14-19
Dear all,
To be Christian or even serve God is not enough. Though it's very important for and we have seen many people fight to carry a title of something in the church. Much more than that is to be faithful and true. Unfortunately that is  the biggest problem that we've had among those who claim themselves as Christians or as God's servants. They are profoundly concerned  about having a position in the church or just showing off to prove that they are better than anyone else.
The Lord Jesus remained faithful and true from the beginning to the end. He never changed in anything. He is the pure essence of obedience, humbleness and faithfulness. He never changed His character even before  the adversities and persecutions. Is that what we have seen in those who carry title of Christians?  How about those who serve God?
We have to make a definition of what we want to be, either cold or hot. What we cannot be is lukewarm, in other words, we cannot be faithful and true inside the church, but outside we change. Or as long as good things are happening to us and we hear what makes us happy we remain faithful and true, but when we are reprimand, corrected or lose our position and titles of assistants, pastors, and so on, then we are no longer faithful nor true. If this is what we do, then soon God will vomit us out of His mouth.
The members of the church in Laodicean were very faithful in the beginning, only because the city was one of the richest one in that time. They soon turned their hearts to material things, they wanted to be rich and left their spiritual life on second place. The Lord Jesus teaches saying that we should seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added on to us, but they didn't care about. There are many among us doing the very same thing, they are applying all their effort on what's material. Then, when it comes to what's is spiritual they say that they are tired and have no time.
We are not against anybody to become rich. We even teach and pray for you to succeed in whatever you do. But if you neglect your spiritual life because of what's material, then you become wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.
What's spiritual is above all what's  material. Therefore, if you build up a solid relationship with God by strengthening your daily communion with the Holy Spirit and serve Him with the best that you can, you will lack nothing because He will add whatever you need. Never consider the material as more important than the spiritual.
