What have you done with your talents?
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Matthew 25:14, 15
Each one of us has a talent. Maybe you have one, two or even more, but the truth is everyone has talents. But, why has God given us talents? What does He expect us to do with them? Should we keep them in a safe place? Definitely, not! What God expects us to do with them is to go out and multiply.
By reading the verse above we can see clearly that The Lord Jesus didn't deliver His goods and His talents in the hands of someone else, only His own servants. Then immediately He went out on a journey believing that His servants would do what He expected from them. Well, with us, this is not different. From the moment in which we have made a vow to serve Him for the rest of our lives, He gave us the talents that we need to save souls and glorify Him. But what have we done with them? Many in the beginning of their ministry used to find no obstacles to keep them from using their talents. Everything was possible for them, such as going to church, going to work, visiting family members, evangelizing, etc., etc... In other words, they used to have time for everything, but as time went by things changed dramatically. For many them who called themselves servants, they have no more time. Now they are always busy or have something else to do. But how about the vow made with God in the beginning of their ministry when they were called to serve God? What happened to it?
Dear all, we cannot stop multiplying the talents that we have received from The Lord, because sooner or later He will come back. We will have to set account with Him, and what are we going to present Him? Are we going to give Him back the same amount of talents that we received, or even worse than that? Are we going to say that we have hid the talents?
We were called, chosen and anointed by the Holy Spirit to go out and multiply our talents by saving souls. Therefore, do not allow the evil forces to prevent you from doing that. One problem always leads to another problem, and if you put your mind and your heart in problems, you will never get out of it. Instead, you will see them piling up on top of your head day after day. They will suffocate and neutralize your faith, and in the end you will lose your salvation.
Fight the good fight, persevere and do what you've got to do, but multiply your talents.
